A Nuans Report/ Name Approval may required if…
The submission of Articles of Revival must include a Nuans Name Search Report that is dated within ninety (90) days before the submission date to Corporations Canada. However, this report is not necessary if the corporation was dissolved for less than two (2) years or if it operated under a numbered name.
Required Documents and Information
The following required statements have been complied with:
• Any outstanding notice Changes and Annual returns required to be filed by the corporation under the Corporations Information Act will be filed immediately upon revival.
• All documents required to be filed by the corporation under Ontario tax statutes have been filed and all defaults of the corporation under the tax statutes have been remedied.
• The consent of any required Minister and the Public Guardian and Trustee (if applicable) to the requested revival has been obtained.
• All other defaults of the corporation to the date of dissolution have been remedied and it is not more than 20 years after the date of dissolution.

Who can Apply for Revive of a Corporation?
Any person with a valid interest in the corporation can apply for a revival. According to subsection 209(6) of the CBCA, the applicant must be an interested person, which includes but is not limited to, the following:
a) a shareholder, a director, an officer, an employee and a creditor of the dissolved corporation;
b) a person who has a contractual relationship with the dissolved corporation;
c) a person who was not a person described in paragraph a) at the time of dissolution, but would be such a person if a certificate of revival is issued; and
d) a trustee in bankruptcy or liquidator for the dissolved corporation or other body corporate.
If the applicant is a corporation,
the name must be the name of the corporation, the address must be that of its registered office, and the articles must be signed by a person authorized by the corporation.
